The context
At Howe Tech Solutions, I joined Acima’s credit team in a multi-application Rails 7 ecosystem. The work involved translating business requirements into implementation decisions and integrations.
My contribution
Credit-data integrations
Worked on REST integrations with external credit-data providers, including error handling and tests around sensitive data flows.
Technical decisions
Contributed to architecture and implementation choices and turned business requirements into actionable development tasks.
Mentoring and onboarding
Supported engineers through pair programming, mentoring, and onboarding documentation.
What came out of it
Delivery across API boundaries and a shared codebase, supported by testing and knowledge transfer. The contribution combined integration engineering with day-to-day technical leadership.
