GetAwayInsured
The context
GetAwayInsured is a Canadian travel insurance product. My work with a small team spans customer-facing Rails flows and the platform maintenance needed to keep developing the application.
My contribution
Quotes and leads
Contributed quote-request and lead-capture flows, with front-end changes in JavaScript and SCSS.
Communication and anti-spam
Worked on transactional email, notifications, and anti-spam improvements around customer submissions.
The upgrade path
Led the Ruby 2.7-to-3.x migration, clearing a runtime prerequisite for the Rails version upgrade.
What came out of it
Customer-facing workflow improvements and a cleared platform upgrade blocker. This is a team contribution; the customer application’s source is not part of the public portfolio.
